Conquer one of the most famous mountain top, Mitikas. The route begins from Elassona, with first destination, the village Kalyvia. From the central square of the village you begin the ascent to the refuge Christaki at 2.500 m. altitude.

The dirt road leads you up to the mountain, beneath the towering peaks of Olympus, where you gaze the Thessalian plain that looks like a mosaic of colors. There at the ref. Christaki you can rest and enjoy a hot mountain tea, before you continue your road to Skala. From there, the ascent to the highest peak of the mountain begins. An unforgettable experience.

A very particular ascent, where everyone, regardless the age, can conquer the second highest peak of Olympus, Skolio, at the altitude of 2.912m.

From there, you can enjoy and photograph the picturesque view of the mountain ridge. The descent takes approximately 1 hour. You can either stay and enjoy a hot or cold beverage at the ref. Christaki, or choose to go swimming at the beach.
